Brenda Mae Gough

Monroe, Utah - Brenda Mae Wiley Gough, age 57 of Monroe, passed away December 30, 2017 at the home of her daughter in Monroe, after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born June 5, 1960 in Oakland, California, a daughter of Robert Frank and Ardith Youngdell Wiley. She married Steven Jack Kindig in 1981 in Kearns, Utah. They were later divorced. She married Brian Ackerman Gough December 27, 1986 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were later divorced. Brenda had such a love for life, adventure and loved to have fun. She enjoyed nature and the outdoors, fishing, camping, hiking, swimming, atving and spending time wave running at the lake. She was a server at Big Rock Candy Mountain for a number of years and loved getting to know her customers and sharing life experiences with them. She had a genuine love for people and couldn't go anywhere without talking to at least 5 people. She had a green thumb and loved planting her flowers and tending to them. Anyone that knew Brenda knew that above all else, she loved her children and grandchildren and loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. They were her greatest joy and her whole world. Brenda is survived by her children: Kimberly and Jonathan Cole of Monroe; Jill Kindig and Garrett Winn of Richfield; Melissa Gough and Brandon Sorensen of Annabella; Michael Gough of Cottonwood Heights; Angilee Gough and Tyler Holyoak of Taylorsville; 5 grandchildren: Bransen Toomer, Logenne Russell, Addysen Russell, Ridge Winn and Neveah Sorensen; brother and sister: Robert and Kathy Wiley of Kearns; Wendy McGrath of Twin Falls, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Wiley; her mother, Ardith Rowell; grandmother, Nora Youngdell; and a son-in-law: Christopher Burr. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah. "Fly high with the angels Mom. We love you."
