Aurora, Utah - Beloved husband, father, son, grandson, brother, cousin, friend, and proud American Soldier, Broc Steve Tatum, age 35, of Cedaredge, Colorado, died October 11, 2014 in Cedaredge. He was born December 27, 1978 in Richfield, Utah, a son of Steven Frederick and Tammy Wasden Tatum. He graduated from North Sevier High School in the class of 1997. He also attended Southern Utah University in Cedar City, and graduated with a Masters Degree of Accounting. He married Victoria Winsor on December 15, 2001, in the Manti LDS Temple. They made two beautiful children together, but later divorced. He then married Kiffany Larie Moore on October 26, 2012 in Pirates Cove, Oahu, Hawaii. Broc was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served an LDS mission to Melbourne, Australia. He was as active participant in the Boy Scouts of America as a youth. He was an Eagle Scout who also received the Order of the Arrow. Broc was a former member of the 2nd Battalion, 222nd Field Artillery. He was deployed to Iraq from 2005 to 2006, and was a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was a former commander of C Battery 2-222 FA. He was honorably discharged from the Utah Army National Guard in 2013. He was a patriot who sacrificed much in the service of his country. Broc loved the outdoors. He liked fishing, camping, and rock climbing. He enjoyed snowboarding, and golfing. He was an off road enthusiast. He liked welding, but the thing he loved most was spending time with his kids. He is survived by his wife Kiffany Larie Moore Tatum of Cedaredge; his children: Zeke Tatum and Dempsey Tatum of South Jordan and Cedaredge; his step-son Andrew Moore of Cedaredge; his parents: Steven and Tammy Tatum of Green River, Wyoming; sisters and brother: Lacey and Tyson Mele of Green River, Wyoming; Whitney and Daniel Van Tassell of San Francisco, California; and Jace Tatum of Rock Springs, Wyoming; his grandmother: Valna Wasden of Aurora; aunts and uncles: Richard and Sharee Wasden; Rosalie and Michelle Colby, all of Aurora; Dell and the late, Patricia Allred of Salina; Sherree Tatum of Portland, Oregon; Patricia Allison of Cave Junction, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Thad Wasden; Fred and Sandie Tatum. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 12 Noon in the Aurora 1st LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the ward chapel in Aurora, Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the American Legion Post #36, the Utah Honor Guard, and the Utah National Guard 222nd Field Artillery will be in the Aurora City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah. Broc's family would like to offer a special thanks to Broc's military family, his dependable employees and his friends, for gifts of food and support, and the incredible outpouring of love they've received in this trying time.
