Bruce Richardson Gates

Orem/Salina, Utah - Our beloved son, brother, grandson and uncle, Bruce Lee Richardson Gates, age 23, died February 23, 2013 in Provo, Utah. He was born May 12, 1989 in Richfield, Utah, a son of Kent Lee Hansen and Janet McDonald. Bruce loved camping and fishing and spending time with friends and family. He loved us with everything he had. We love you more than "fat kids love cake" and "all the way to the moon and back". We will miss you "Pooh Bear". Bruce is survived by his parents: Dick Lynn and Janet McDonald Gates of Ajo, Arizona; sisters and brothers: Breezy and Leo Allen of Kingman, Arizona; Bergundi Gates, BreaAnna Gates, Brady Gates and Brenda Gates, all of Ajo, Arizona; Brandina Gates of Tucson, Arizona; Janelle Hansen of Price; Kent Lee Hansen of North Dakota and Jacob Hansen of Provo; 5 nieces; grandparents: Bruce McDonald and Doraleen Gates, both of Salina; and Daril Hansen of Elisnore. He was preceded in death by his father, Kent Lee Hansen; grandparents: Carol McDonald, Don Gates and Faye Hansen; and a cousin, Alan Herman. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. in the Salina 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 85 South 100 East in Salina. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 150 East Main Street in Salina, Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Saturday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Aurora City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
