Monroe, Utah - Our kind and beloved sister, aunt and friend, Carleen Annette Garner Tasnady, age 56, died March 28, 2013 in Richfield, after a brave and valiant battle with lung cancer. She was born April 19, 1956 in Burbank, California, a daughter of Arthur Earl and Donna Jean Smith Garner. She graduated from Sylmar High School, Class of 1974. She attended college and got her BA Degree in Accounting. Carleen married Joseph Tasnady, May 17, 1991. They were later divorced. Carleen worked as an accountant in Las Vegas. She moved to Monroe a year ago to be closer to her sister and family. Carleen enjoyed walking the dogs, playing World of Warcraft on the computer and camping. She is survived by her sister, Kim and Jeff Julander of Monroe; three nephews: Grant and Larissa Julander of Elsinore; Aaron and Savannah Julander of Beowawe, Nevada; Michael Julander of Monroe; numerous great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Donna Jean and Arthur Earl Garner. Private family memorial services were held and at her request, her remains have been cremated. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in the name of Carleen Tasnady.
