Carol Allen Olsen

Ephraim, Utah - Carol Joyce Allen Olsen, age 81, passed away May 27, 2014 at her home in Ephraim. She was born May 16, 1933 in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of Bryon J. and Florence Sewell Allen. She married Lee Jay Olsen, November 9, 1964 in Kanab, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple May 6, 1993. Carol loved being in the Primary because of her child like personality. She sang in the church choir for many years. She was a wonderful embroiderer. She promised a quilt to many babies and would make pillow cases and dish towels that won blue ribbons in the county fair. She loved anything and everything, especially if it were purple or lavender. She will be greatly missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Carol is survived by her husband, Jay, of Ephraim; brothers and sisters: Jay Allen of Sun City, California; Lamar Allen of West Weber, Utah; Connie Klein of Chattaroy, Washington; and Mary Cook of Ogden. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers: Gary Allen, Norman Allen and Brent Allen. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 12 Noon in the Ephraim LDS Stake Center, 400 East Center Street in Ephraim, where friends may call for viewing Tuesday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Ephraim Park Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
