Carol Dean Taylor Chabot

Fremont, Utah - Carole Dean Taylor Chabot was born June 29, 1934, in Fremont, Utah. She is the twelfth and youngest child of William Gross Taylor and Emily Bell Duncan Taylor. She passed from this life on July 30, 2015. Carole was a member of the Wayne High School graduating class of 1952 in Bicknell, Utah. That fall she moved to Salt Lake City to study business and play softball. In 1956 she moved to Northern California. While spending her leisure time water skiing in the lagoon and throwing a fifteen-pound bowing ball down the lane, she met the love of her life, Glenn Chabot. They were married on July 1, 1960 and had four daughters. In Eureka, California, Carole worked over 20 years for Lazio’s Fish Company. There she started her career as a bookkeeper and eventually became the office manager. After years of working in the fishing industry, she changed professions and became a Realtor. She truly enjoyed finding families the perfect place to live. Never to sit around, she continued to work until just a year before her passing. Her greatest joy was her family and she loved spending time with them. An avid sports fan, she took every opportunity to cheer on her grandchildren while they participated in football, basketball, baseball, soccer, volleyball, and track. Carole is survived by her husband, daughters, sons-in-law, her eight grandchildren, and her sisters Ora and Sherma. Carole is proceeded in death by her parents William Gross and Emily Bell, her brothers Chap, Van, and Dunk, and her sisters Verna, Clay, Lela, Cheril, Baur Dee, and Wilma Ann. Carole was admired for her fun loving nature and her ability to live life to its fullest. She is deeply loved and will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in the Fremont LDS Chapel where friends may visit with the family Thursday morning from 11:30 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Fremont Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
