July 21, 1947 — March 3, 2017

Our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Carol Torgerson Charlesworth, age 69, died peacefully in her sleep on March 3, 2017 in Richfield, Utah. She battled COPD gracefully for the past 10 years. Carol was born July 21, 1947 in Richfield, Utah. The youngest daughter of Arthur Henry Torgerson and Alice Luella Knighton Torgerson. Her growing up years were spent in Bicknell, Utah. She graduated from Wayne High School Class of 1965. After graduation Carol moved to Richfield to be with her sister Lael. They were two peas in a pod. Wherever Lael was, Carol was usually with her even after they both married and had families of their own they made sure they got together at least every Wednesday for a day at the salon, lunch and shopping at their favorite store, Deseret Industries. Carol was the queen of a bargain. She always walked out of there with the best treasures. She loved shopping and fashion. Carol was always dressed like a million dollars. She never went anywhere without making sure she was dressed up. Carol was a woman of many talents. She could fix anything and had a remedy for everything. She was very active and loved to get out and do things. She loved the great outdoor and loved fishing. In Carols younger years she served as a waitress before becoming a telephone operator . She really enjoyed that job and made lifelong friends. She made lots of friends where ever she went and she loved every single one of them. They all brought her so much joy. She went on to marry Wesley Kent Charlesworth February 17, 1968 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They later divorced. Together they share a son Gordon Scott Charlesworth. He was Carols whole world. Later married Claude J.B. Keller, Jr. August 31, 1984 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He passed in 1988. Carol was an outgoing fun loving soul. Her grace and beauty shined through to those who knew her. She was very much involved in the lives of those she treasured. She loved children and many of them adopted her as their extra grandma. She was always so excited for their accomplishments and made sure that they knew it. Carol went above and beyond for anyone that was in need. She never had much but what she did have, she worked hard for. Carol was blessed with an extra family when she met her lifelong partner and best friend, Randall Johnson. He and his children and grandchildren where so valuable to her life. She loved them all so much. Randall and Carol took such great care of each other throughout their 28 years together. She will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched. She is survived by her partner and best friend, Randall Johnson, of Salina; Son, Gordon Scott (Nicole) Charlesworth, of Layton; Grandchildren: Madi Charlesworth and Gregory Charlesworth, of Layton; Brothers: Larry (Libby) Torgerson, of Bicknell, and Phil Torgerson, of Lyman.
