Glenwood, Utah - Charles DeLoy Ellett, graduated from this life on July 5, 2017 at his home in Glenwood. He was born August 1, 1939 in Fremont, Wayne County, Utah, a son of Charles Leland and Cleo Chasty Albrecht Ellett. He grew up on the family farm in Fremont being taught all aspects of farming. This is where he learned to work not only for his parents, but for many farmers around the valley. He graduated from Wayne High School in Bicknell, Utah in May of 1957. After attending one year of college in Cedar City, Utah, he started working for Clell Duncan and Brent Morrell, learning the trade of welder/mechanic in Loa, Utah. He married his High School Sweetheart, Ramon Taylor on September 17, 1960. They were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 2, 1969. From this marriage came three children, Gregg, Joni and Cindy. He moved to West Valley City in April of 1965 and went to work for Chicago Bridge and Iron until going to work for Beehive Machinery Inc. in January of 1970. He retired from Beehive Machinery in September of 2001. He held many callings in the LDS Church including Bishop in the Taylorsville 33rd Ward. On December 27, 1999, Ramon passed away suddenly. On April 6, 2001 he married Dixie Darlene Clemons. In July 2007 they were called to serve an LDS Mission to Ankara, Turkey. This was truly a high light in their lives. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Ramon; parents; a sister, Gatha and Lowell Larsen; brother, John Leon and Carol Ellett and a brother, Arlo Thad Ellett. He is survived by his wife, Dixie; brother: Dwight and Lucinda Ellett; sister: Bonnie and Roy Brown; children: Gregg Ellett; Joni and Matt Norton; Cindy and Reed Stevens; and step-children: Eugene Clemons; Reggie Clemons; Kim and Jack Wright; Katie and Darin Zenger; Kenneth Clemons and Curtis Clemons; brothers-in-law: Larry E. and Shirley Taylor; Larry and Judy Wolfe; Brad and Jill Wolfe; cherished grandchildren and many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends. Graveside services will be held Monday, July 10, 2017 at 12 Noon in the Loa Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
