Richfield, Utah - Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Cheryl Ann Charles Maes, age 66, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 31, 2015 at her home in Richfield. She was born September 24, 1948 in Cedar City, Utah, a daughter of Kenneth Foster and Vera Timican Charles. She married Mitch Maes in Richfield and they were later divorced. Cheryl studied cosmetology and nursing. She was a member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed doing puzzles and word puzzles, yard work, cleaning and most of all, spending time with her grandkids. She is survived by her children: Kenneth James Charles, January Charles and Nathan Lee, Russell Charles, all of Richfield; Jeff and Justina Charles of Central Valley; 12 grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Melvera and Mike Bateman of Salt Lake City; Patrick Charles, Cynthia Charles, Judy Charles and Loujeanne Charles, Arthur and Phyllis Richards, all of Cedar City; Claymont and Marguerite John of Arizona; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents: Kenneth and Vera Charles; grandfather, Jimmie Timican; grandmother: Annie T. Duran; nephews: Christopher Charles; Alexey Charles and Damon Charles; niece: Marcie A. Charles; sisters and brother: Dianna R. Charles; Rayona Charles and Ardean Charles. There will be a traditional Indian Sing at the Koosharem Band of Paiutes Building, 800 North 100 East in Richfield, Thursday, April 2, 2015 starting at 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 3, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at the Koosharem Band of Paiutes Building where friends may call for viewing Friday morning one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
