Cheryl H. Huntsman

May 19, 1957 — October 19, 2011

Aurora, Utah - On Wednesday, October 19, 2011, our beautiful and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Cheryl Mae Haskins Huntsman, lost her valiantly fought battle with cancer. She died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in St. George, Utah. Cheryl was born May 19, 1957 in Salina, Utah, a daughter of James and Cloma Woolsey Haskins. She graduated from North Sevier High School, Class of 1975 and furthered her education at Sevier Valley Technical School in Richfield, where she studied business. After working as a secretary for various companies, Cheryl found a career she loved and could be proud of. She began her employment at Questar Gas in 1990. She had most recently served as the Preconstruction Representative in the Richfield Office. Her hard work and dedication earned her the respect and love of her co-workers and she thought of all of them as her extended family. In a story that would rival the best fairytale, Cheryl was reunited with her high school sweetheart, Shane Huntsman, in the fall of 2006. They were married on August 31, 2007 in Mesquite, Nevada. Although their time with each other was cut tragically short, they were able to enjoy four wonderful years together with each other, their children and grandchildren. Cheryl was a strong, intelligent, fun loving lady with a great sense of humor. She loved NASCAR, RZR rides and traveling, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Cheryl, you will be greatly missed, but we know that Heaven has gained as fierce and loving angel. We love you!!! She is survived by her loving husband of Aurora; her parents, Cloma and James Haskins of Salina; children: Shaylin and Steve Ogden of Eagle Mountain; Jason Huntsman of Jerome, Idaho; grandchildren: Mariah, Austin, Makaila, Gage, Masan and Emilee; her three sisters: Virginia and Bryan Stewart of Aurora; Sue and Fred St. Pierre of Price, Noel and Shane Fullmer of LaVerkin; a brother, James Jon Haskins of Salina; her sisters and brothers-in-law: Tana and Wayne Bennett, Lynn and Rhonda Huntsman, Lee and Lisa Huntsman, all of Aurora; and many nieces and nephews who thought of her as a second Mom. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 24, 2011 at 12 Noon in the Aurora 1st LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Monday morning from 9:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Aurora City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
