Elsinore, Utah - Claude (Red) Rowe, age 86, our beloved father passed away peacefully on October 31, 2011 in his home in Elsinore. He was born in Mona on July 11, 1925 to Sidney Lorenzo and Ruth Eleanor Rowe. During WWII Claude served in the U.S. Navy. He married Lavern Stears in 1944, and they had four children together. They were later divorced. He then married Verda Morill on September 6, 1955. With that marriage he gained a daughter and later had a son. Verda passed away October 9, 1999. Claude was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He worked for Geneva Steel for many years until his retirement. He is survived by his children: Frank and Linda Rowe, of Toole; Elsie and Roy Glispy, of Mt. Pleasant; Margaret Prince of Spanish Fork; Ted and Sharon Rowe, of Las Vegas Nevada; Kevin and Char Rowe, of Elsinore; many Grandchildren, many Great Grandchildren, and a few Great-Great-Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Verda; his parents; three sisters: LeVon, Oma and Ruth; and three brothers: Bill Sid and Steve; his Daughter Geri; his son-in law Allen; a grandson, and two great granddaughters. Memorial services will be held 2:00pm Saturday, November 5, 2011 in the Maple Mountain Stake Center, at 2188 East 100 South, Spanish Fork Utah. Friends may call to visit the family at 1:00pm prior to the services. Services are under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you donate to your favorite charity.
