Clement Jorgensen

Centerfield, Utah - Clement was born December 4, 1910 in Centerfield, Utah , a son of William Carl and Esther Follett Jensen. After William passed away, Esther married Fred Jorgensen, who then adopted Clement. Clement passed away January 6, 2007 in Mayfield, Utah. “Grandpa Great” attended school in Centerfield, Utah. He met and married Vaudis Elmen in Richfield, Utah on July 8, 1932. She died March 23, 2006. Clement was a self-employed entrepreneur all of his life. He also served in the US Army during World War II. Clement and Vaudis have three children: daughter, ArLou and Robert Edwards of Centerfield, Utah; son, Kay and LaRee Jorgensen of Cedar City; and daughter Karen and Russell Childs of Salt Lake City; he is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Joy Willden of Layton. In addition, Clement was friend and grandpa to 25 exchange and foster children. Clement was a very generous and considerate man his whole life. He always cared more about others than he did himself.....and he was not interested in getting recognition for his kind acts. He always like to stay busy.....and he did!!! Clement was preceded in death by his parents, his life long love and wife, Vaudis; his brothers Miles, Lloyd, Denzel and Tillman and his sister, Adell Jensen. He will be greatly missed. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses, aids and staff at the Mayfield Care Center, for the excellent care they provided for their parents. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at 12 Noon in the Centerfield 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Tuesday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors will be in the Centerfield Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
