Collin Chance Turner

Torrey, Utah – Collin Chance Turner, age 23, passed away at his home in Torrey on Christmas Day, December 25, 2021. He was born March 20, 1998 in Gunnison, a son of Bruce L. and Chancie Ann Paulsen Turner. Collin grew up in Venice where he enjoyed camping, fishing and riding motorcycles in the Venice Hills. He graduated from Wyoming Cowboy Challenge Academy in 2016. He joined the Army and graduated from Military Police Academy at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He served in the US Army as an MP in Korea and at West Point College in New York. Collin has lived in Korea, South Dakota and West Point, New York, but he always called Utah his home. Collin was a gentle, kind, happy soul and was always ready to flash a smile and show off his big dimples. He loves all kinds of music, playing video games with his buddies and eating Dominos Pizza. He loved his family, his friends and all animals. His theme was “Take my hand, I’ll help you.” He was always helping others. He wanted to be a leader that people could count on and also a music DJ. He will be greatly missed. Collin is survived by his father, Bruce L. Turner of Venice; his mother, Chancie Ann Turner of Lyman; brothers: Braydon Turner and Brooke Swasey of Loa; Kaisen Turner of West Jordan; Joshua and Kelsey Irey and their daughter, Zoey K. Irey, all of Loa; grandparents: Dorothy Turner of Venice, Alma and Linda Paulsen of West Jordan; great-grandparents: Mary Ann Bliss and Dick Nielson of Loa; uncles and aunts: Blane Turner, Ryan Turner, Steve and Tamera Turner, all of Venice; Pam and Jeff Hardman of Richfield; Marshal and Reagan Paulson of West Valley. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Darwin L. Turner; great-grandparents: Paul J. and Grace Paulsen, Chan “Chuck” Bliss; uncles, Douglas Criss Bliss and Robert Davis Sr. There will be a viewing for Collin on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. At his request, his remains will be cremated and burial will take place in the Venice Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
