Craig Richard Shaw

Aurora - Our beloved husband , father, son, grandfather, brother, and friend Craig Richard Shaw, age 56, of Aurora, died on August 10, 2012 in West Jordan, Utah. He was born September 28, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son to Lynn Devon Shaw, and Edith LaDella Mellor Shaw. Craig graduated from Granger High School in 1974. He attended both Snow College, and Salt Lake Community College. He was married to Mary Ann Brewer, on May 17, 1974 in Granger, Utah. They were later sealed in the Oakland Temple, on January 26, 1978. Craig was a hard worker. He started working for his Dad at a young age. He worked at USG for over twenty five years. He played hard also. He was an avid golfer. He bowled in a league. He enjoyed riding four wheelers. He loved having barbeques with his family, and spending time with his grandkids. He liked playing sudoku and solitaire. He was a skier, either on the snow or the water. But most of all he loved any activity that involved his family. Craig was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served in many callings including working in the Young Men’s Organization, and the Sunday School Presidency. He was also very active in civic organizations. He served on the mounted posse, and coached youth athletics. He will be dearly missed by his family, and his community. He is survived by his wife Mary Shaw, of Aurora; his parents L. Devon and LaDella Shaw of Aurora; his children: Mandy Shaw, and Katie Shaw both of West Jordan; Kent and Angie Shaw of Salina; Bradley and Summer Shaw of Richfield; Carl and Melissa Shaw of Aurora; his eight grandchildren: Livvy; Ike; Knox; Hayden; Kyle; Layne; Bryar; Ava; his siblings: Gary and Kathleen Shaw of Salt Lake City; Kathy and Steven Emfield of Coalville, California; Mike and Nann Shaw of Kaysville; Troy and Kim Shaw of Bluffdale; Sonya and Troy Kartchner of West Valley City; Robby and Kelsey Shaw of Aurora; his siblings in law: Steven and Jolene Brewer of Pleasant Grove; Wayne and Terri Brewer of American Fork. Craig was proceeded in death by his grandparents: Lyn and Fern Shaw; William and Ozemba Mellor; his parents in law John and Doris Webb; Richard Brewer. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at 12:00 Noon, in the Aurora LDS Ward Chapel, at 85 N Main Street in Aurora, Utah. Friend may call for viewing Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the ward chapel, or from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM prior to services. Burial will be in the Aurora City Cemetery, under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
