Craig Schouten

Monroe, Utah - Craig Ronald Schouten, age 70, of Monroe, passed away September 8, 2024, in Richfield, Utah

Craig was born November 28, 1953, to Ronald Warren and Doreene Fox Schouten in Provo, Utah. He grew up in Springville and had fond memories of family camping trips during his boyhood years. Craig graduated from Springville High School with the class of 1972.

Craig married the love of his life, Judy Ann Russell on December 11, 1975, in Springville. To their union brought two sons, Craig Jr. (CJ) and Timothy. Judy preceded him in death on April 29, 2019.

Craig and Judy lived in Monroe for the past 24 years. They enjoyed the area and loved to take long drives and spend time outdoors. Craig was fond of fishing, as well as reading. He will be missed by many family members and friends.

Craig is survived by his sons: Timothy (Amy) Schouten of Provo, Craig Schouten of Monroe; his father: Ronald Schouten of Sandy; grandchildren: Shyann (Ethan) Blanchette of Orem, Amanda Schouten of Provo, Lizzy Schouten and Conner Schouten, both of Provo; great-grandson: Grayson Blanchette, and siblings: Morgan (Amy) Schouten of Florida, Ronda (Kent) Staheli of Sandy, Christie (Kevin) Boyack of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mike (Julie) Schouten of Centerville, Dianne Curtis of Spanish Fork, and Marie Shirley (Derek) Rasmussen of American Fork.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Judy, and his mother, Doreene Schouten.

Services for Craig will be held at a later date.

Cremation services are under the care of Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
