Cynthia E. Christensen

April 17, 1968 — June 19, 2014

Fayette, Utah - Our beloved mother, sister, daughter and friend, Cynthia Evans Christensen, age 46, passed away June 19, 2014 at her home in Fayette. She was born April 17, 1968 in American Fork, Utah, a daughter of Richard G. and Rowena May Morgan Evans. She married Chanley C. Christensen, March 21, 1998 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. As a wife, she was deeply loved and held in special respect by her husband. She loved working with him in their business. They loved working side by side with rocks and inventive ideas. They enjoyed doing this with their children, as they collected rocks and learned the geology of Utah together. Cindy did the books for their business, as she also fulfilled her duties as wife, mother, chief cook and bottle washer. Cindy also loved animals, having grown up on a mini-farm in Cedar City, Utah. She especially loved working with and riding horses. She was on the high school girls basketball team and was competitive in all she did. Just out of high school, she went to Georgia to be a nanny and learned much from this experience. She grew up with five brothers and sisters, and enjoyed re-telling stories of their childhood adventures. She had such determination and could and would do anything she set her mind to. She is loved and always will be, by all who knew her. We are happy knowing she is once again with her beloved husband Chanley, who preceded her in death, April 17, 2010. We all love Cindy and our memories of her life. She is survived by her children: Jordan and Melissa Weidinger Christensen of Santaquin; Shane Evan Christensen and Jessica Ann Christensen, both of Fayette; parents: Richard G. and Rowena Evans of Cedar City; parents-in-law: Neal and Vicky Christensen of Lost Creek; Judy and Ron Wood of Aurora; brothers and sisters: Morgan and Kathy Evans of Sierra Vista, Arizona; Bruce and Kim Evans of Brigham City; Connie and Greg Thurman of Riverton; Susan and Robert Murdock of Cedar City; Joseph Evans of Clearfield. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 27, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. in the Fayette LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Friday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be Friday afternoon at 4:00P.M. in the Aurora City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
