Darlene Bullard

Sigurd, Utah - Our kind and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, neighbor and friend, Ruby Darlene Bullard, age 81 of Sigurd, passed away on July 10, 2014, in Provo, surrounded by her family. Darlene was born October 21, 1932 in Koosharem, a daughter of Alma Grant and Ruth Torgerson Brown. She graduated from South Sevier High School in the class of 1950. Later that year on December 22, she married Francis Levi Bullard in the Manti LDS Temple. Francis died on March 31, 2000. Darlene later married her long time friend since high school, Robert McCoard, on April 16, 2011 in Sigurd. Darlene was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She filled many callings including working with the Scouts, serving in the Relief Society, visiting teaching, and serving in the Primary. She loved go fishing with her husband Francis, and in later life her husband Robert. While fishing she met many new people who became lifelong friends. Darlene and Francis also spent much of their lives working together. They owned a ceramics shop together where Darlene taught classes. They also had an upholstery business in Sigurd. She is survived by her husband Robert McCoard; her sons: DeVon and Randa Bullard of Aurora; Bud and Roseleta Bullard of Sigurd; Step-Sons: Bart McCoard of Roy; Allen and Janet McCoard of Ogden; Scott and Melody McCoard of Cedar City; 9 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and one on the way. She was proceeded in death by both of her parents; her husband Francis Levi Bullard; her brothers: Keith G. Brown; Que Devon Brown; her great-grandson Kruse Bullard; her step-son Fred McCoard. Funeral Services will be held Saturday July 19, 2014, at 12 Noon in the Sigurd LDS Ward Chapel, 30 South 100 West, in Sigurd. Friends may call for viewing Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, or in the Sigurd Ward Chapel from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. prior to services. Burial will be in the Sigurd City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
