Darlene Utley Warenski

Darlene Utley Warenski, age 82, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2006 at her home in Richfield. Mom was born August 3, 1923 in Sevier, Utah, a daughter of Willard and Ida Ann Skinner Utley. She married Rex Warenski on September 4, 1941 in Ely, Nevada. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple February 24, 1951. Dad died October 30, 1984. Mom was an avid bowler and won several trophies from tournaments which were held in different states. She worked for JC Penney’s in Richfield for 18 years, during which time she made many friends. Mom loved her family and was proud of their accomplishments. Our visits were always welcomed with our favorite meal ready and waiting. Mom took pleasure in always remembering the birthdays of all 75 of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her home was a place where she loved to have the family gather and she was able to keep it in immaculate order despite the many messes that were created; this was also noticed on the deer hunt and fishing trips, which she went on as often as she could. Mom, we love you and will forever remember you in our hearts. Darlene is survived by her children: Ron and Judy Warenski of Salt Lake City; Judy and Jon Hatch, Elsinore; Michael and Vicki Warenski, Buster, (deceased) and Julie Warenski, all of Richfield; 22 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Ida Utley; husband, Rex; Warenski; son, Buster Warenski; grandson, Shane Rex Warenski; great-granddaughter, Hanna Hummel; brothers, Willard Utley, Mack Utley, infant brother, Garn Utley; sister, Trelma Stoker; and her cat, Sam, whom she loved dearly. The family would like to thank Richfield Hospice for their gentle and loving care of our mother during the final days of her life. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel in Richfield. There will be a private family viewing prior to the services on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
