Darwin “Weed” Farnworth, age 65, of Richfield, passed away September 11, 2021 in Provo, after a short illness. He was born February 28, 1956 in Richfield, a son of Austin Martendale “Dale” and Vivian Allred Farnsworth. He graduated from Richfield High School, Class of 1975. He served his Country in the United States Army for 9.5 years. He married Clover Chalk November 21, 1984 in Monroe, Utah. She preceded him in death on November 4, 2001. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He worked at USG in Sigurd until he retired. Darwin enjoyed fishing, biking, riding ATV’s, being out in nature in the mountains, swimming at the community swimming pool, eating dinner at the Senior Living Center, watching football, listening to country music, playing pool, reading the Richfield Reaper, watching the morning news and drinking coffee. He was generous to a fault, assisting his elderly neighbors with mowing their lawns and helping with odd jobs. He never missed a family reunion. He loved the Richfield 4th of July Parade and always drove down main street in his 1930 Durant Star. Weed enjoyed living a life full of enjoyment. He will be greatly missed. Darwin is survived by his daughter, LaTonya Dee Tall of Salt Lake City; 7 grandchildren; and his siblings: Kaye and Verl Newby, Doug and Rita Farnsworth, Valeen and Steve Sylvester, Margaret and Robert Herbstritt, Susan and Steve Foulger, Louise and Phil Henson, Karma and Jeff Cooper, all of Richfield. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Vivian Farnsworth; and his wife, Clover. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Richfield 15th LDS Ward Chapel, 10 South 200 East in Richfield. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the ward chapel Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Sevier Valley American Legion Post #37 and the Utah Honor Guard will be in the Howes Family Cemetery in Thompsonville under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
