Daryn Troy Hall

May 24, 1997 — February 21, 2014

Monroe, Utah - Daryn Troy Hall, a proud student of South Sevier High School, and our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, passed away after a heroic battle with cancer on February 21st, 2014 at the age of 16. Daryn was born in Richfield on the 24th of May in 1997, the son of Ronald Troy Hall, and Mary Jean Stanley Johnson. In August of 2005 Daryn was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a cancer of the brain. In addition to endless radiation and intense chemotherapy, he had 3 difficult surgeries. For 16 months, beginning in 2009, Daryn enjoyed a remission. Daryn came to live with his grandparents Roger and Marla Hall in Monroe shortly after. During this time, his cancer returned, and Daryn endured all the radiation he could be given and every type of chemotherapy available. It was to no avail, and the cancer continued to grow. Because of its location in the center of his brain, surgery was not an option this time. After scans on February 12th, Daryn suffered a stroke, and was later transferred to Richfield Care Center. His friends and family stayed with him night and day until his Heavenly Father called him home. Daryn's family expresses their deep gratitude to the care center for the wonderful care which both Daryn and his family received. Daryn had a special spirit, and was loved by all that crossed his path. He loved to spend time with his family whether it be wrestling with his brothers (executing to perfection the moves he loved to watch on T.V.) or shadowing his dad. He had an enthusiasm for guns, and always wanted to go shooting. Daryn was an active member of the FFA. He enjoyed gardening, he loved to nurture plants and watch them grow. He loved Star Wars, Star Trek, or about anything science fiction related. He liked to read. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially going fishing. Daryn was in the 10th grade at South Sevier High School, he loved his school and the many friends he had there. We wish we could of had more time with our precious Dare Bear. He was a great friend, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and son. Daryn was great at everything he did, and though he's in a better place, he will be missed by all. Daryn is survived by his parents: Ronald and Wendy Hall of Monroe and Lehi; Mary Jean and Dave Johnson of Richfield; his brothers and sisters: Kayla and Cheston Allen, and Ronnie Hall all of Richfield; Tiffany hall of West Valley; Jaiden Hall, and Izabelle Hall both of Lehi; his grandparents: Roger and Marla Hall of Monroe; Carol Stanley of Sigurd. He was proceeded in death by his grandfather Kenneth Newell Stanley. Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 3, 2014 at 12 Noon in the Monroe LDS Stake Center, at 140 South Main, Monroe, Utah. Friends may call for viewing Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at the Stake Center, or Monday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Sigurd Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, and Salina, Utah. In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted to Daryns Mountain America Credit Union account #9776736. The proceeds of which will be used to help cover his funeral expense.
