Richfield, Utah - On the morning of May 30, 2017 David Allen Hilderbrand of Richfield, passed away in the Utah Valley Hospital at the age of 73 surrounded by his family. He was born on January 9, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri, a son of Jewel Tracy and Georgia Hilderbrand. He married Susan Marie Goodwin on July 8, 1982 in Fairbanks, Alaska. They were later sealed for time and eternity in the Los Angeles LDS Temple, on December 20, 1983. Dave was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings. He was a former Member of the High Council, he served in the Bishopric in Alaska, but his favorite calling was Gospel Doctrine Teacher. He also served as a Temple Worker in the Manti Temple for 20 years, and loved the temple. Dave was a veteran, and served in the US Air Force while living in Alaska. Dave grew up all over the world. He was the son of a private airplane pilot,and was able to live all over and learn many languages. It instilled in him a love of flying, and owning his own airplane. He lived in Ketchikan, Alaska for many years where he worked as a commercial fisherman and a hunting guide. He loved Alaska and loved hunting and fishing even more! He was an Electrical Contractor. Dave owned and operated 4 D's Electric in Richfield for 23 years. He enjoyed gardening, and loved his fruit trees. He liked using his fruit to make homemade juice and attempted anything homemade. He enjoyed riding his four wheeler with his buddies. But, most of all he loved spending time with his family. Dave is survived by his wife Susan Hilderbrand of Richfield; his children: Diana and Santiago Rivera of Riverton; Danielle Hilderbrand of Salt Lake City; Dustee and Tyler Ingram of Salt Lake City; granddaughter Briella Rivera of Riverton. He was preceded in death by both parents, and his son Jonathan William Hilderbrand. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11:00AM in the Richfield City Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing on Friday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, or on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West in Richfield. Services are under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
