Monroe, Utah – David Cecil Brannan, age 78, of Monroe, passed away February 10, 2025, in Provo, Utah. He was born March 9, 1946, in Rupert, Idaho, a son of William “Bill” Cecil and Vergie Marie Bortz Brannan. He graduated from Fremont County Vocational High School in Lander, Wyoming, Class of 1964.
Dave worked at US Steele in an Iron Mine before joining the United States Army, where he served for 20 years. While living in Korea, Dave met and married Uni Pok Young and they have been married for 36 years.
David loved to see how things worked. He was always tinkering around with something, working on his home and his autos.
Dave and Pok moved to Monroe, Utah 31 years ago.
Dave is survived by his wife, Uni Pok Young Brannan of Monroe; his two daughters: Donna and Manuel Montoya of Arvada, Colorado; Sandra Brannan of Texas; grandchildren: Brandan Wilderman, Mercedes Montoya, Jesse Montoya, David William Brannan, Nychole and Joel Chamberlin; great-grandchildren: Jacob David Chase, Hayli Brannan, Cade Chamberlin; and Daisy Wilderman, all of Arvada, Colorado; his mother, Vergie Brannan of Lander, Wyoming; brothers: Dale Brannan, John and Judy Brannan, all of Lander, Wyoming; Tom and Michelle Brannan of Rawlins, Wyoming.
Dave is preceded by a grandson, Cody Joseph Wilderman and his father, Bill Brannan.
Dave is loved beyond words and will be missed for the rest of our days. Rest in Peace, Dad.
Memorial services will be held at a later date under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
