Dean Christensen

Salina, Utah - Franklin Dean Christensen, age 62, passed away on February 22, 2007 at his home in Meyer, Arizona. He was born October 21, 1944 in Salina, Utah. He attended schools in Salina and graduated from North Sevier High School, Class of 1963. Dean later attended Snow College and Brigham Young Universtiy. He served with the US Army for 6 years where he was an Army Public Relations Correspondent. He served 2 years in Germany. Dean also worked as a newsman for Channel 2 News in Salt Lake City. Dean was best know for his talent of playing the piano and organ. He loved to write and had published several books. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard J. and Carol Dean Nielsen Christensen. He is survived by his twin brothers and their wives, Lee and Judy Christensen, Lyn and Carlene Christensen, all of Salina; 4 nieces and 5 nephews. Grave side services with military honors accorded by the Salina American Legion Post #36 will be held Thursday at 12 Noon in the Salina Eastside Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
