Dee Anna Gill

February 21, 1940 — May 15, 2022

Dee AnnA Squires Gill, our Mother and Nanna, age 82, passed away May 15, 2022, in Monroe, Utah. She was born February 21, 1940 in Salina, Utah to Henri and Florence Dennison Squires; the oldest of four children. She graduated from North Sevier High School in 1958. She married Ronald H. Chesnut (later divorced), they had two children. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Nanna enjoyed many activities and adventures. She loved photography, Bonco, her yard, cooking, sewing, camping, fishing, swimming, dancing, travel, and all holidays; but her greatest joy in life was her family. She lived for her family. She was a gentle soul who was a friend to everyone she knew; she never met a stranger. She had an enormous capacity to love and forgive that was unmatched; once she knew you she loved you. She is survived by her children Ronda Dee (Gary) Hill, Grantsville, and Todd Henri (Lanita) Chesnut, Axtell; a brother Henry Lynn Squires, Salt Lake City, a sister Hazel V Julian, American Fork, a sister-in-law Ruth Harmer, Salina; 4 Grandchildren; 9 Great-Grandchildren; 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and many, many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, MacRae Squires and her brother-in-law, Paul Julian. The family would like to thank Monroe Canyon Assisted Living, and Intermountain Homecare and Hospice Richfield Team for their compassionate care and service. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 12 Noon in the Salina Creek LDS Ward Chapel, 87 South 100 East in Salina. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 150 East Main Street in Salina, Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina Eastside Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
