Devere Lott

Richfield, Utah - DeVere Freddie Lott, age 82, died June 13, 2007 in Richfield, Utah. He was born April 19, 1925 in Elsinore, Utah, a son of Fred J. and Rosetta Barney Lott. DeVere was a Seaman 1st Class in the US Navy during World War II. He married Lucille Casto October 21, 1953 and they were later divorced. He married Cliffaleen Mangum, April 18, 1966 in Ely, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. She died February 18, 1996. He was a member of the LDS Church, where he served as a Home Teacher for many years. He enjoyed deer hunting and going for rides on Monroe Mountain and Kimberly Mountain. DeVere is survived by his two daughters: Glenna Jo and Terry Seegmiller of St. George; Tammie and Doug Jackson of Loa; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cliffaleen; his daughter, Melissa Rose Lott; a sister, Nettie Winkel and a brother, Reed Lott. Grave side services will be held Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. in the Elsinore Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Saturday afternoon from 1:30 to 2:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the VFW Sevier Post #5050 will be in the Elsinore Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
