Koosharem, Utah – Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, DeVon E. Anderson, age 72, passed away June 12, 2023, at his home in Koosharem. He was born July 5, 1950, in Salina, Utah, a son of Dee Franklin and Thelda Christensen Anderson. He grew up in Koosharem, riding horses on the Monroe Mountain, going trapping, hunting and fishing in the creek.
DeVon married the love of his life, Wanda Memmott July 11, 1969, in Salina, Utah.
DeVon spent a lot of his time in the garden as well as he did on the mountain. He gave his children and grandchildren the love of old country music and everything outdoors. He was a very creative man in woodwork and western leather. He loved all things outdoors.
DeVon especially loved spending time with his beloved wife, Wanda, their four children and their many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
DeVon is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda, of Koosharem; his children: Jason DeVon (Shana) Anderson of Richfield; Bill (Shantel) Anderson of Central Valley; Tammy Anderson and Dane Allred of Salina; Cody (Tracie) Anderson of Monroe; 10 grandchildren: Kyler (Justine) Anderson, Trace Anderson & Brinlyn Kennedy, Katey Anderson & Casey Scot, Hunter Anderson, Stetson DeVon Anderson, Brailey Anderson, Tayt Anderson, Dakota (Callie) Anderson,Carsen Anderson, Alyssa Anderson, Buddy Anderson, MaKayla Anderson, Kelden Durfey & Taylie Barrow, Dallas (Sarah) Hatch, Brittney (Allen) Zingelmen, Danielle (Hunter) Jensen, Kelby Hatch; 15 great-grandchildren: Jaxxon DeVon Anderson, Shiloh Stanford and Kayzleigh Zingelman, Kyson Zingelman, Brexlee Jensen, Jerzey Jensen, Bailynn Durfey, Rhett Durfey, Beckett DeVon Anderson, Riggs Hatch; brothers: Robert (Beth) Anderson of Koosharem; Jerold Anderson of Fillmore; and sister-in-law: Ann Memmott.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Dee and Thelda Anderson; sister and brother-in-law: DeAnna and Bruce Beach; parents-in-law: Fern and Edward Memmott; brother and sister-in-law: Patricia and Hal Orme; brothers-in-law: Bill and Robert Memmott; 4 nieces and 3 nephews.
Friends may visit with the family at the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel in Richfield, Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 in the afternoon.
A Celebration of Life Campout will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the Elk Camp for anyone that would like to attend and help us remember the life a great man, DeVon Anderson.
