Fremont, Utah - Dexter Vern Taylor, age 63, passed away March 19, 2019 at his home in Fremont. He was born September 27, 1955 in Salina, Utah, a son of Dick and Joan DeLeeuw Taylor. He graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1973. Dexter married Bonnie Noyes May 3, 1974 in Hanksville, Utah. They were later divorced. He married Tammi Black October 4, 1980 in Blanding, Utah. They were later divorced. He married Deborah Knoles and they were later divorced. Dexter worked as a carpenter and a miner. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by a son, Dillon (Cory Stewart) Taylor of Christiansburg, Virginia; his 5 grandchildren: Robert R. Taylor of Richlands, North Carolina; Heaven L. Taylor of Pikeville, North Carolina; Caitlin Stewart, Tammi Paige Taylor and Alyssa R. Taylor of Christiansburg, Virginia; his parents, Dick and Joan Taylor of Fremont; sisters: Garaldean Grundy of Loa; JoLynn Dangerfield of Sandy; Dixie and William "Bill" Spencer of Ivans; JoDee and Chris Harker of Fremont; and three step-daughters: Amber Chesnut Haskell of Elk Ridge; Myriah Chesnut Deckard of Riverton, Wyoming; and Mandy Chesnut Gillisaurus of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by a son, Brandon Taylor; 2 brothers-in-law: Douglas Grundy and Kim Dangerfield; and grandparents: H. Vern and Lynn DeLeeuw; Glen and Dorothy Taylor. At his request, his remains have been cremated and a family celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
