Dirk D. Christensen

Redmond, Utah - Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Dirk Duane "Diggler" Christensen, age 56, died August 3, 2013 at his home in Redmond, of a massive heart attack. He was born August 6, 1956 in Salina, Utah, a son of Owen Duane and Elva Lee Mickelsen Christensen. He graduated from North Sevier High School, Class of 1974. Diggler was a member of the LDS Church. He married Sandy Dee Wolford Davis, December 31, 1999 in Redmond, Utah. He enjoyed hunting, camping and riding his horse. He especially loved being with his girls. Diggler is survived by his wife, Sandy, of Redmond; children: Baylee Jade Christensen and Stephanie Christensen, both of Redmond; Emilee Christensen of Oceanside, California; granddaughters: Ashtyn Janaye Christensen and Taryn Vanetta Christensen, both of Redmond; two brothers: Eric Christensen of Redmond; Ryan and Verlene Christensen of Santa Clara. He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Elva Christensen. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 12 Noon in the Redmond LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Redmond Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
