Don C. Mangum

Cannonville, Utah - Don Carlos Mangum, age 85, passed away January 19, 2007 in Panguitch, Utah. He was born September 13, 1921, in Georgetown, Utah, a son of David Newton and Elizabeth Jane Thornton Mangum. He married Alice Edni Elliott and later divorced. He married Louise Ann Fox Mathews November 6, 1959 in Riverton, Utah. She died December 31, 2004. Don is survived by his children: Clifford (Collette) Mathews, John (Charlotte) Mathews, Mel (April) Mangum, Ben (Diane) Mathews, Judy (Kevin) Anderson, David (Andrea) Mathews, Bonnie Jane (Pete) Peterson, Susan (Tom) Huddleston, Katherine Mangum, Valerie Smith, Carol (Jack) Riley, Vicki Mangum; 27 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, a daughter, Kay Louise Dunham; 7 brothers and 4 sisters: Squire, Wesley, George, Lilly, Martha, Glen, Mary Darles, Grant, Marvin and Mandy. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 12 Noon in the Cannonville LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Bryce Valley American Legion Post #18 will be in the Georgetown Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
