Donna A. Blackburn

December 11, 1921 — November 24, 2014

Fremont, Utah - Donna Albrecht Blackburn, age 92, of Fremont, passed away peacefully at Sevier Valley Hospital on Monday, November 24, 2014. She was born December 11, 1921, in Fremont to Earl LeRoy and Evalina "Eva" Balle Albrecht. Donna enjoyed living in Fremont with her loving husband of 72 years, Lewis Blackburn. They were married in the Manti LDS Temple on April 21, 1942. Donna was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served faithfully in ward and stake callings, including: Relief Society President, twice; Stake Relief Society; Primary President; Visiting Teacher and Manti Temple Ordinance worker for 10 years. Donna loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, and had a firm testimony of His love for her. She was also an active member of the Camp Geyser DUP. Mom's greatest joy was her family. She was happiest when she could spend time with them, and she had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Donna is survived by her husband, Lewis, of Fremont; her children: Scott and Dixie Blackburn; Paula and Rick G. Roberts; Lesa and Steve Rasmussen; Tamyra and Ron Perkins; 23 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; son-in-law: Terry Curtis; and a brother-in-law: Garth Tolbert. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Blackburn; a daughter, Erlene B. Curtis; a granddaughter, Donna Clarice Roberts; her parents and siblings. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. in the Fremont LDS Ward chapel, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Fremont Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
