Donna Mae Jackson

Salina, Utah - Our kind and caring mother, grandmother and sister, Donna Mae Jensen Jackson, age 83, died March 16, 2012 in Centerfield, Utah. She was born September 19, 1928 in Salina, Utah, a daughter of Carl Earlin and Fern Geneva Shaw Jensen. She graduated from North Sevier High School, Class of 1946, where she was the Valedictorian. She then enrolled in Nursing School. Donna married Keith Mullins September 8, 1947 in the Manti LDS Temple. They were later divorced. She married Ray D. Jackson, August 8, 1952 in Salina, Utah. They were later divorced. Donna was active in the LDS Church, serving as a Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed camping and fishing at Fish Lake and gardening. She loved watching BYU basketball on TV. Donna and her mother, Fern, made the best homemade Root Beer in the valley. Mom was a homemaker, helping take care of her parents as they aged. She is survived by her children: Jameelah (Linda) Sheridan of Jinzhou, Lioning, China; Joyce Jackson Olwell of Shoreline, Washington; John and Ayla Jackson of Anchorage, Alaska; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; three close cousins: Phyllis Cowley of Axtell; Marsha Griffin of Richfield and James Bench of Manti. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earlin and Fern Jensen; a brother, Wayland Jensen and a daughter, Lois Jackson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the Salina 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 85 South 100 East. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Saturday morning from 9:00to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina Eastside Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
