Donna N. Prows

Salina, Utah - Donna Nelson Prows passed away December 17, 2004 at the home of her daughter in Boise, Idaho. She was born March 21, 1915 a daughter of Franklin T. and Annetta Willardsen Nelson in Redmond, Utah, where she lived throughout her formative years. She married the love of her life, Dail Arthur Prows, December 15, 1934 in Redmond, Utah. This marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple May 22, 1967. Donna served in several church callings and worked for many years at ZCMI. She had a love for music and played the piano by ear. She also loved the Utah Jazz. Her greatest interest in life was being a homemaker and a mother. Donna is survived by her daughter, Rae Lynn (Lee Ray) Rasmussen of Boise, Idaho; a son, Steven (Sherry) Prows of Bountiful, UT; a daughter-in-law, Carol Sue Prows of Murray, 20 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Vivian Jensen of Salt Lake City, Joy (LeGrande) Rolph, Shirly (LaMar) Brown all of Bountiful; sisters-in-law, Donna (Gene) Peterson of Salt Lake City; Mary Lou (Buddy) Bastian of Salina, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Frank D. Prows, her parents and a grandson, David Prows. A short funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at 12 Noon in the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, where friends may call for viewing Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
