Donnetta Jorgensen

April 6, 1936 — October 27, 2022

Richfield, Utah – Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, DonNetta Sorensen Jorgensen, age 86, passed away October 27, 2022, in Richfield, Utah. She was born April 6, 1936, in Glenwood, a daughter of James Lyman and Juanita Dastrup Sorensen.


She married Verdon Harold “Dobby” Jorgensen April 25, 1953, in Monroe, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple June 8, 1965. Dobby passed away January 17, 2004.


DonNetta worked at multiple jobs as a cashier. She worked for Zion Bank and Valley Central Bank for many years. Upon her retirement, she worked for Quality Inn.


She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in the Primary Presidency, as a Primary Teacher, Cub Scout Leader, and ward chorister. She enjoyed going to the Temple with her friends and to the monthly Family Home Evenings with them.


DonNetta’s family was the biggest joy of her life. She loved each and everyone of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.


DonNetta is survived by her children: Nicky and Jerry Nebeker, Tammy and Eric Roberts, all of Annabella; Kendall and Tana Jorgensen, and Annette Horgan, all of Richfield; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Steven and Phyllis Sorensen of American Fork.


She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; a daughter, Debra Lee Beaven; siblings: Wendall Allen, Luana Funk, Chona Lee Heil, James Sorensen, Larry Sorensen, Larsena Christensen; and a granddaughter and her husband, Kenzie and Adrian Hillin.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in the Richfield 15th LDS Ward Chapel, 10 South 200 East in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 prior to the services.


Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
