Doris Larue Caldwell

Redmond, Utah - Our kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister, Doris Larue Jensen Caldwell, age 85, passed away September 4, 2014 in Centerfield, Utah. She was born April 2, 1929 in Redmond, Utah, a daughter of Walton James and Veda Ann Jensen Jensen. She graduated from Salina High School, Class of 1947. She married her sweetheart, John Wallace Caldwell, July 26, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He died April 22, 1989. Doris was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as a Visiting Teacher, Secretary of the Relief Society, Compassionate Services Committee, Primary and Young Women's Programs throughout the years. She was a wonderful seamstress. She enjoyed making quilts and crocheting. She loved to cook and bake and enjoyed reading. Doris is survived by her children: Doris Kreiter of Stockton, California; Brenda Lee and Allan Tarket of Tucson, Arizona; Chris John and Cindy Caldwell of Lake Forest, California; grandchildren: Kari Ann Kreiter; Kevin John Keriter; Janine Marie Kreiter; Kendra Lyn Tarket; Jason Allan and Jennifer Tarket; Travis John and Gabriella Tarket; Anne Marie and Eric Meyer; Rheanna Lauren Caldwell; Fiona Grace Caldwell and Collin Sayer Caldwell; great-grandchildren: Justin Kreiter; Preston Kreiter; Carson Kreiter; Alyssa Dawn Elam; Bradley Thomas Elam; Cadence Leigh Tarket; and Colton James Tarket; sisters and brothers: Beverly Markos of Ogden; Dale Jensen of Barstow, California; DonnaVee Sorenson of Axtell; Howard Jensen of Bloomington, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Wallace Caldwell; a son, Kent Caldwell; grandson, Jeremy James Kreiter; and two sisters: Elaine Saffron and Virginia Grendahl. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 12 Noon in the Centerfield 1st LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Centerfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
