Dorothy Winget Monroe, Utah - Dorothy May Emerson Winget, age 85, former Monroe resident, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2004 in Richfield, Utah, surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born April 6, 1919 in Portland, Oregon, a daughter of John C. and Sarah Ann Jensen Emerson. She married Elmer DeVere Winget, February 14, 1939 in Elsinore, Utah. He died December 5, 1986. Dorothy is survived by her children: Bruce Spencer Winget, Salina; Pat Van Dam of Salt Lake City; Tanya DeAnne and Craig Morrill, Henderson, NV; Nikki Rae and Maylen Mickelsen, Redmond; Sandra Dee and Rett Long, Reno, NV; 19 grandchildren 12 great-grandchildren; sister and brother: Grace and Jim Knowler of Salina; Jack Stewart Emerson of Jeffersonville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Linda Michelle (Bunny) Johnson; a sister, Margaret Ann Thornton and a brother, Donald Albert Emerson. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 29, 2004 at 12 Noon in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West, in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Thursday morning one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
