E. Blanche Woolley

Blanche B. Woolley Richfield/Koosharem, Utah - Our loving wife, mother and grandmother, E. Blanche Brown Woolley, age 80, of Richfield, was called by her Heavenly Father to serve a very special mission. Blanche passed away on Monday, March 24, 2003 at her home in Richfield. She was born June 17, 1922 in the family home in Koosharem, a daughter of Ebenezer Cornelius and Rhoda Ann Anderson Brown. She graduated from Richfield High School, Class of 1940. She attended Ferguson Beauty School in San Bernardino, CA and graduated with honors. She taught at the school for several years. She married Max Jacob Woolley December 5, 1944 in Bakersfield, CA. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, April 19, 1954. Blanche opened Blanche’s Beauty Bazaar in Hollywood, California and had clientele from the nearby Hollywood Studios. She ran that beauty shop until 1951. Blanche and Max lived in various cities in California until they moved to Big Timber, Montana in 1985 and then retired to Richfield in 1996. Blanche was very active in the LDS Church. She served two, 2-year Stake Missions in California, three years as Primary President, 22 years in Relief Society Presidencies, besides one year each in Geneology and the MIA. Blanche’s greatest attribute was her empathy for and compassionate desire to help others. She is survived by her husband of Richfield; son: Max Jay and his wife, Tina Woolley and their son, Zachery, all of Buhl, Idaho; sister: Virginia Stoker and her husband, Miles, of Richfield; brother: George Merrill Brown and his wife, Elaine, of Ames, Iowa; sister-in-law: Lanea Brown of Koosharem. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters: Dennis LeRue Brown, Verl LaDean Brown, Golda Marguriete Coleman and Geneta Ann Bell. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. in the Koosharem LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may visit with the family at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Tuesday evening from 6 to 7 P.M. and at the ward chapel in Koosharem, Wednesday from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Koosharem Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
