Ed Hepworth

February 29, 1952 — January 19, 2016

Redmond, Utah - Our loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Edmund Hepworth, age 63 of Redmond, passed away suddenly in the early morning hours of January 19, 2016 in Gunnison, Utah, of a massive heart attack. He was born February 29, 1952 in Panguitch, Utah, a son of Edmund Crofts and June Cox Hepworth. He grew up in Orderville where he learned the value of hard work. Ed married Trudy Brinkerhoff, September 15, 1973 in Glendale, Utah. To this union were born four children: Shauna, Samantha, Maverick and Carrie. Ed and Trudy were later divorced. He later married Bonnie Van Zile in Mesquite, Nevada and gained four more children: Robert Noel, Chris McCune, Shelby McCune and Patrick McCune. Ed was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as Elder's Quorum President. He was a member of the Salina Riding Club, where he was on the Roping Team and enjoyed barrel racing. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He loved animals and enjoyed training horses, gathering wood and gourmet Dutch Oven Cooking. He was a very devoted Grandpa and loved his grandkids and great-grandkids. Ed is survived by his wife, Bonnie, of Redmond; children: Robert Noel of Arizona; Kerry Barney of California; Chris McCune of Wyoming; Shauna Williams of Enterprise; Shelby McCune of Lehi; Patrick McCune of California; Samantha Owen of Richfield; and Maverick Hepworth of Eagle Mountain; 25 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Denise Carter of Sandy; Ryan Hepworth of Sunnyside; Mary Ann Kohm and Marty Hepworth , both of Orderville. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 22, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in the Redmond 1st LDS Ward Chapel, 310 West 100 North in Redmond, where friends may call for viewing Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Graveside services and burial will be Saturday afternoon at 1:00 P.M. in the Orderville Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
