Ed Moss

September 25, 1939 — June 24, 2021

Our kind and beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Edward Ruben Moss, age 81, passed away June 24, 2021 at his home in Richfield. He was born September 25, 1939 in Salt Lake City, a son of Edward Hugh and Belle Emma Camomile Moss. Ed grew up in Bountiful and graduated from Bountiful High School, Class of 1958. He loved hiking the hills about Bountiful and catching fish with his hands. He said he could never catch anything with a pole, but he loved to fish. He served an LDS Mission to Brazil from 1959 to 1962. He loved his mission and continued throughout his life sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. He also enjoyed doing genealogy. Ed served his country in the military from 1962 to 1966. He worked for Sperry Univac in Salt Lake City for 35 years, retiring in 2001. Ed married Venna Revoe Nay Cleaveland August 24, 1979 in the Manti LDS Temple. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 10, 1981. They moved to Richfield 20 years ago. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking the hills around Richfield. He also enjoyed gardening. Ed was a very humble man, honest to a fault, loving, generous, unwavering, faithful, and a gentle spirit. Ed is survived by his beloved wife, Revoe of Richfield; children: Teresa and Troy Singleton of Evansville, Wyoming; Eileen and Dewayne Wadsworth of Rock Springs, Wyoming; Edward and Ineke Moss of Eutin, Germany; Lewis and Carolyn Cleaveland of West Valley City; Sandra and Stan Fifield of Brigham City; Richard Cleaveland of Clinton; Alma Cleaveland of Cedar City; Aaron Cleaveland of Richfield; Ruth and Merlin Angle of Lubbock, Texas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Elinor and Barry South of Menden, Idaho; Joyce Warren of Woods Cross; Myrtle Dowell of West Valley City; Bill Sadler of California. He is preceded in death by his parents; children: Krystal Elaine Moss, Joseph Cleaveland; and brothers: Ralph Sadler, Harry Sadler, Earl Sadler, Arthur "Laury" Sadler. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 12 Noon in the Richfield 7th LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the VFW Sevier Post #5050 and the Utah Honor Guard will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
