Eileen Akers

August 20, 1923 — November 12, 2005

Rural Elsinore, Utah - On 12 November 2005, our cherished Eileen rose above her earthly travails and went in search of further adventure. Eileen was born on August 20, 1923 in New York City, a daughter of Joseph A. and Jennie O’Gorman Musacchia. She spent much of her youth in and graduated from Vineland High School in New Jersey. Later she moved to Texas, Colorado Springs, then to San Diego area and to Los Angeles. She attended Los Angeles City College and was a legal secretary in the Title Insurance business. Eileen met and married Donald Keith Akers in Manhattan Beach, California, October 3, 1964. In 1974 Eileen and Don moved to Utah where she made a great many friends. She will be greatly missed. Surviving are her husband, Don of Elsinore; her three sisters: Ann Scarpa and Pat Goffredi, both New Jersey, and June Aliff in North Carolina. Preceding her were sisters, Cecelia and Rose, also a brother, John Gleason. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Tuesday evening, November 15, 2005 from 6 to 8 PM. Burial will be Grand Junction, Colorado under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
