Elaine Wilson Blackburn

Salina, Utah - Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Elaine Wilson Blackburn, age 69, died June 1, 2012 in Provo, Utah. She was born May 26, 1943 in Salina, a daughter of Charles Edward and Ruth Smith Taft Wilson. She graduated from North Sevier High School, Class of 1961. She attended Edison Jr. College where she received her nursing degree and was also the Valedictorian. Elaine married Jimmy LeRoy Elmore, December 21, 1961 in Witchita Falls, Texas. They were later divorced. She married Dr. Walter Wesley Fallon, April 20, 1971 in Ely, Nevada. He died September 26, 1972. She married Jimmy Lea Blackburn, August 22, 1973 in Ely, Nevada. Elaine served her country in the United States Air Force. She was a member of the LDS Church, and also a member of the Richfield and Salina Chamber of Commerce. Elaine worked at the Richfield Rehabilitation and Care Center for 30 years. She started as a nurse and then for 15 years, she was Director of Nursing and the last 15 years served as Administrator, retiring in 2006. She enjoyed camping with her family, amusement parks and food!!! Elaine is survived by her husband, Jimmy L. Blackburn of Salina; children: Paul and Shelley Fallon, Kimberly and Layne Johnson, all of Hurricane; Bud and Ashley Fallon of Henry, Illinois; Cheryl Critchett of Salt Lake City; Jimmy and Ruth Blackburn of Sorroco, New Mexico; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 brother: Delmer K. and Connie Wilson of Las Vegas, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Charles Wilson; a son, James Bret (Razor) Blackburn; a sister, Connie Peterson and a brother, Leslie Dean Wilson. Grave side services will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 12 Noon in the Salina Eastside Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Salina American Legion Post #36 and the Utah Honor Guard will be in the Eastside Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
