Eleanor Winn Barney

Eleanor Barney Winn Barney, age 92, died May 23, 2006 at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the 4th of ten children born to Lushon and Evelyn Levie Barney, on May 6, 1914 in Elsinore, Sevier Co., Utah. At age 16, she married Bert Winn, February 25, 1930 in Marysvale, Utah. They had one child, Robert L. Winn. Bert passed away June 1, 1963 in Salt Lake City, Utah. This marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Eleanor later married Carl Wilford Barney, January 2, 1971 in Elko, Nevada. Carl passed away April 16, 1972. Eleanor loved her family dearly. They were all welcome in her home at any time. She always had a bed and something for them to eat. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great-Grandmother. Eleanor was working at Reams, as a meat wrapper when she retired. She is survived by her son, Bob and his wife, Renee’ Winn of Salt Lake City; three grandsons: Berry and Rhonda Godding of Salt Lake City; Robert B. and Verlynn Winn of Juneau, Alaska; Randy E. and Brenda Winn of West Valley City; 9 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; sister and brother: Neta and Dean Davidson of Elsinore; Ben and Marla Barney of Richfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters and four brothers: Lorna B. Hansen; Nina B. Carrigan; Myrtle B. King; Grant Lushon Barney; Arnold Barney, Harlin Barney, Joseph Levi Barney and one great-great-grandchild, Levie Laniali’i Winn. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice Care Source for all their help with Eleanor. Grave side services will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. in the Monroe City Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Tuesday morning from 11:30 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunninson, Utah.
