Elmera C. Warren

Our dear, kind loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister-in-law, Elmera Lee Cummings Warren, 91 passed away into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 21, 2014 in Centerfield, Utah. Mom was born to Elmer E and Alvina Homan Cummings on March 23, 1923 in Murphysboro, Illinois. Her parents wanted to have a boy when she was born. They named her Elmera by the name Elmer and adding an a. She loved doing things with her father and they were side by side companions. They fished, worked in his machinist shop, and were best buddies. She married Joseph Ralph Warren on December 25, 1946 in Murphysboro. Through this union three sons were born. Joe in 1948, Dick in 1949, and Bruce in 1955. She always said her greatest accomplishment was raising three hardworking sons. Her husband passed way on July 6, 1966 in Moab Utah. She is survived by her sons Joe (Jeanette) Warren, Richard L. (Dick) Warren, both of St George, and Bruce (Linda) Warren of Salina. She was proud of her two grandchildren, Ciara Lin Warren of Salina, and Jake Kistenmacher of Eatonville Washington. Also a sister-in-law, Nellie Moran Boone Johnson of Murphysboro, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a half sister, Ada League Dominique; and a step brother Homer Crain. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mission At Community Living Center in Centerfield for all the loving care and attention they have given Mom the past seven months. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the Eastside Cemetery in Salina, Utah, under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
