Elnora S. Hosac

August 25, 1925 — June 12, 2013

Gunnison, Utah/Los Alamos, New Mexico - Our kind and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Naomi Elnora Sorensen Hosac, age 87 of Los Alamos, New Mexico, died June 12, 2013. She was born August 25, 1925 in Gunnison, Utah, a daughter of Mortimer Peter and Beatrice Halliday Sorensen. She graduated from Gunnison Valley High School, Class of 1943. She attended LDS Business School in Salt Lake City for two years. Elnora married Leslie Grover Hosac, May 24, 1955 in the Manti LDS Temple. To this union were born two children, Lynda and Gregg Leslie Hosac. They were later divorced. Elnora enjoyed gardening, doing things with her family, and teaching in Primary, she loved the little Primary Children. She was an active member of the Pajarito LDS Ward in the Sante Fe New Mexico Stake. She had worked as a Temple worker and was a true believer in the Church. She is survived by her children: Lynda and Robert Judd of Los Alamos, New Mexico; Gregg Leslie Hosac of Salmon, Idaho; grandchildren: Jennifer Suzanne Newman, Tara Lee Johnson and Robert Glennon Judd, all of Los Alamos; Tysa Lynn Royce of Sandy; Rebecca Robyn Watkins of White Rock, New Mexico; Deanna Call of Salmon, Idaho; great-grandchildren: Scott Michael Newman, Zachary Steven Royce, Jaden Trent Johnson, Ana Lynn Royce, Jaryn Robert Newman, Shawn Jason Newman, Avery Dennon Johnson, Samuel Parker Royce, Sarah Ranay Newman, Robert James Royce, Vincent Arthur Watkins and Robyn Noel Watkins; a sister, Doreen Anderson of Gunnison; a sister-in-law: Erma Miller Sorensen of Centerfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother Bernard M. Sorensen. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 12 Noon in the Gunnison LDS Stake Center, where friends may visit with the family from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Gunnison City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
