Eloise Brinkerhoff Simkins

Our kind and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Eloise Brinkerhoff Smith Forsythe Simkins, age 85, passed away May 29, 2018 in Orem, Utah. She was born October 14, 1932 in Glendale, Utah, a daughter of Delbert Cutler and Leola Chamberlain Brinkerhoff. She graduated from Piute High School, Class of 1950. Eloise married David (Buzz) Fullmer Smith September 28, 1952 in Fredonia, Arizona. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple June 30, 1961. They made their home in Richfield and Monroe, Utah, for a while. Buzz died January 13, 1999. She then married Warren Forsythe August 12, 2000 in Manti, Utah. He died June 1, 2013. She later married Ron Simkins January 18, 2014 in Hurricane, Utah and they lived in St. George, Utah. Eloise was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many different callings. She loved the outdoors and working in her yards, camping with her family and riding horses. She is survived by her husband, Ron Simkins of Orem; children: Hollie and Rod Rawe of Modesto, California; Stuart and Trina Smith of Orem, Utah; Laraine and Randy Beaman of Kingwood, Texas; Tyler and Maurnie Smith of Saratoga Springs, Utah; Christine and Brent Labrum of Vernal, Utah; 25 grandchildren and 64 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; and six siblings: Hal, Audrey, Gerry, Doug, Carvel and Lauree. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 4, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing after 9:00 A.M. Monday morning. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
