Eris Rees Paskett

Tooele/Loa, Utah - Eris Fontella Redford Rees Paskett, age 98, died June 17, 2009 in Richfield, Utah. She was born February 11, 1911 in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of Joseph and Eliza Rudd Redford. She married Heber John Rees, February 5, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, June 7, 1940. They made their home in Hanksville and Loa for 35 years. Heber died January 18,1966. After Heber’s death, Eris moved to Logan and got her teaching degree from Utah State University. She then moved to Tooele and taught elementary school in Stockton. She met and married Glenn Paskett, June 17, 1976. He died. Eris enjoyed oil painting, sewing and needle crafts of any kind, genealogy, animals of any kind, going to the Temple and attending her church meetings. Eris moved to Richfield where she has resided for the past 13 years as a resident of the Richfield Care Center. She is survived by her 5 grandchildren: Janet A. and Dan Barp of Spanish Fork; Terry L. Albrecht of Lyman; Danny H. Albrecht, Dona A. and Mitch Bastian, all of Richfield; Kelly L. and Laura Albrecht of Wapanucka, Oklahoma; 20 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Ranae and Owen LaNaie Albrecht; a granddaughter, Dixie Eris Albrecht; 1 great-grandson and 1 great-great-grandson; 3 sisters and 1 brother, Budd Redford; Girtha Freeman; Vernie Knearl and Cleo Brown. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Graveside services and burial will be Thursday afternoon at 1:00 PM. In the Loa Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
