Salina, Utah - Evelyn Lillian Elm Gee, age 93, of Salina, died February 28, 2007 in Richfield, Utah. She was born April 11, 1913 in Valley City, North Dakota, a daughter of Albert John and Emma Geoline Mickelson Elm. She married Garney Q. Gee October 10, 1934 in Yuma, Arizona. They moved to Los Angeles, California in 1935 where Garney worked at a Richfield Service Station and Evelyn did sewing for people. Evelyn was an excellent seamstress. She did sewing for many movie stars in California. She made all of her and Garney’s clothing, from their underwear to their shirts, pants and dresses. Evelyn became the Bookkeeper for her husband’s Landscaping and Nursery Business, located on Hollywood and Vine in Los Angeles, California. Garney built a good business and he retired at the age of 55. He and Evelyn then moved back to Salina, where he grew up, and where they had bought a small summer home, many years before. They did a lot of traveling and then decided they had traveled enough and they settled down in their little home in Salina. They fished, hunted, visited friends and family and enjoyed many years together. Garney died July 13, 2003. Evelyn was the last living member of her family. She is survived by her nieces and nephews and many close friends in the Salina area. Grave side services were held in the Salina Eastside Cemetery on Thursday, March 1, 2007.
