Aurora, Utah - Our kind and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Evelyn Irene Houseman Utley, age 87, passed away November 25, 2016 at her home in Aurora. She was born February 15, 1929 in Flag Springs, Missouri, a daughter of Clarence Raymond and Myrtle Irene Clemens Houseman. She married Denzil Gleed Utley, February 22, 1947 in Kalispell, Montana. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple July 21, 1955. Evelyn was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as a Sunday School Teacher, Ward Librarian and Relief Society Visiting Teacher. She and Gleed served at the Bishop's Storehouse in Sigurd and as Temple Workers in the Manti Temple. Evelyn was a caregiver to many people in the community. She loved gardening, sewing and doing genealogy. She is survived by her beloved husband, Gleed Utley, of Aurora; children: Dennis Ray Utley of Idaho Springs, Colorado; Tonya Hayes of Salt Lake City; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; a sister: Gail and Art Palmer of Missoula, Montana. She was preceded in death by her parents; children: Jack Lewis Utley; David Utley, Mark Utley, Iris Irene Utley and Michael Gleed Utley; a grandson, Andrew Dennis Utley; a brother, Ellis Raymond Houseman; and two sisters: Donna Hilton and Ramona Corntussell. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. in the Aurora 1st LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Aurora City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
