Murray, Utah - Faun D. Bagley, beloved mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away from bladder cancer on June 13, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Draper. Faun was born in Bicknell, Utah to Hyrum and Anna DeLeeuw, the sixth of eight children. She graduated from Wayne County High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Utah State University. She married C. McKay Bagley in the Manti LDS Temple in June 1957 and then taught third and fourth grade at Fielding Elementary School. Soon thereafter Faun and Kay settled in Murray, Utah where they raised their family. Faun was the consummate wife and mother. She raised three wonderful children, often single-handedly, as her husband traveled frequently and was away from home for work and family responsibilities. She not only cared for her own children but also other family members throughout her life, showing them equal love and kindness. She was a hard worker making bread, canning salsa, bottling peaches, sewing, gardening, and cutting up deer and elk better than anyone. She was always willing to help anyone who needed it and worked tirelessly to do so, especially in her church callings. After her children were raised she continued her career, working at the Murray City Library for 20 years, cultivating her love of books and sharing that passion with her children and grandchildren. After retirement, Faun and Kay enjoyed spending time at their second home in Koosharem, Utah as well as camping, fishing, boating and hiking with their children and grandchildren. She was always a good sport, participating in these activities well into her late 70s. At the age of 79, she fulfilled a dream of international travel, embarking on a trip to South Africa followed soon thereafter by another to Thailand with her sister Betty and brother-in-law Homer. Faun is survived by her children Doug and Andie Bagley, Ann and Scott Hunter, Tammy and Bret Peterson; grandchildren Kim, Tyler, Sammie, Shayla, Jake, Trevin, and Kade; great-grandaughter Joslyn; beloved twin brother Fay DeLeeuw and sister Betty Capener. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Della Brian, brothers Vern, Wayne, Glen, and Max DeLeeuw. The family would like to extend special thanks to Mary, Marlee and Rocky Mountain Hospice for their exceptional care of Faun during her illness. Funeral services for Faun will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at the Belview Ward Chapel, 6300 South 300 East, Murray, Utah. Friends may visit with the family prior to the service from 2:00-3:30 p.m. Burial in the Koosharem Cemetery on Saturday, June 24, 2017 under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
