Fay Holt

Torrey, Utah - Adella Fay Nelson Holt, age 92, of Torrey, died April 22, 2005 in Richfield, Utah. She was born November 29, 1912 in Mapleton, Utah, a daughter of Andrew Valentine Nelson Jr. and Pearl Strong Nelson. Fay graduated from Springville High School, Class of 1930. She married Ivan Alma Holt, August 30, 1935 in the Logan LDS Temple. He died April 3, 1992. Fay was very active in the LDS Church, serving in all the auxiliaries. She worked as a cook in different restaurants for many years. She loved to garden and raised beautiful flower gardens. She enjoyed crocheting and camping with her family. She is survived by her children: Carma Fay and Sterling Mason of Spencer Port, New York; Thonna Colleen Lawrence of Las Vegas, NV; Ivan Lamar and Vicki Holt of Pahrump, NV; Janet and Garson Baker of Torrey; Betty Lou (Deceased) and Jay Yagus of Salt Lake City; Shirley May (Arthur, deceased) Kynett of Great Falls, MT; John William and Kathy Holt of West Jordan; Donna Ann and John Beard of Huntsville, TX; 40 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six siblings: Marie Black, Thelma Ostlund, John Nelson, Fern Tippets, Marvin Nelson and Leon Nelson. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. in the Torrey LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the ward chapel in Torrey, Wednesday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Torrey Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
