Faye C. Curtis

Richfield, Utah - Our precious wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Faye Carol Crawford Curtis, was born July 28, 1920 in Ferron, Utah. She left this world peacefully to return home on August 26, 2006. She married Earl Garr Curtis, November 6, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Faye dedicated each day of her life to the well being of others and the world in which she lived. For thirty-one years, she taught the students of Richfield, the fine art of Home Economics as well as English. Because of her love for homemaking, she organized the Future Homemakers of America (FHA) Chapter at Richfield High School. After retiring, Faye volunteered her time at Pahvant Elementary helping young students learn to read. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings including Primary Teacher, Young Women Teacher, Relief Society Teacher and counselor in the Sevier Stake Girl’s Program. Faye also served as the President of the Richfield Jayceettes and was instrumental in promoting the 4-H Program in Richfield. She enjoyed genealogy, gardening, sewing, cooking, writing personal family histories and spending time with her grandchildren. Faye was blessed with a keen mind which brought her many accomplishments including graduation from Utah State University with Pi Kappa Phi honors. However, if you were to ask Faye, her family made her the happiest. She is survived by her husband, Garr, of Richfield; children: David and Dawn Curtis of Salt Lake City; Karen and Tim Sperry of Albuquerque, NM; Ruth and Jim Dallas of Sandy; Camille and Jay Ogden of Richfield; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister: Donald and Jean Crawford of Salt Lake City; Paul and JoeAnn Crawford of Ferron; Evanel and Larry Rexroad of Boise, ID. She was preceded in death by her parents. We look forward to the day when those of us who loved Faye, and whom she also loved in return, will once again be joyfully reunited! Funeral services will be held Friday, September 1, 2006 at 12 Noon in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West, in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Thursday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Friday morning from10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
